In April 2025, Dr. Franziska Olm, Dr. Anna Niroomand, Dr. Hasse Sørensen, Dr. Sandra Lindstedt, and Dr. Michael Perch attended the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) Annual Meeting in Boston.

This year's meeting featured exciting discussions on how machine perfusion is evolving into a regenerative platform—opening new possibilities for reconditioning and utilizing previously discarded donor lungs. A key topic was also how to centralize lung machine perfusion efforts to enhance organ access, quality, and outcomes.

Beyond the scientific sessions, it was a great opportunity to reconnect with old colleagues and form new collaborations—especially with our friends in the lung transplant team from Dallas.

We're energized by the momentum and look forward to driving innovation together across borders.
