Danish-Swedish project aims to create revitalising facility for damaged lungs

Skåne University Hospital and Rigshospitalet aim to increase the number of lungs available for transplantation by developing new treatments and setting up a joint facility to repair donated lungs. This is the goal of the EU-funded project, The Bridge – Lungs for Life.

It's a 3-year project co-founded by the EU-program Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak, which supports joint projects in the southwest of Scandinavia that promote the development of social innovation, green economy, transportation, and employment.
